Small and Medium Enterprise Access to Finance (SMEA2F) project

The Small and Medium Enterprise Access to Finance (SMEA2F) project is funded by the World Bank Group (specifically the International Development Association or IDA) with US$ 20 million (50% grant and 50% credit), with the expected implementation period from 01-Sep-2014 until 30-Jun-2019.

The SMEA2F project, implemented by DOSMEP in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC), aims to eliminate the bottlenecks that constrain SMEs’ access to finance. That is to say, the objective is to increase the supply of long-term finance provided by commercial banks and to strengthen the capability of DOSMEP to formulate and implement public policies that promote access to finance for SMEs.

SMEA2F has two main components :

(a) Line of credit for long-term SME lending thru commercial bank;
(b) Technical assistance to DOSMEP, participating financial institutions (PFIs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
