Phoutsavong Phatsouda is the National IT / PR officer of the NIU. His main responsibility is looking for all IT system within NIU to make sure all system are running smoothly and also coordinating all publications and media information of the NIU such as the Lao Trade Magazine, film/TV productions, the Trade for Development website (www.laosaft.org), banners, press releases, and others. In this function he works closely with coordinators of all implementing agencies to collect information on project activities and publications and provides information on using the Trade for Development Logo. In addition, Phoutsavong provides IT support to the NIU including system administration, maintenance, and updates/new functions of the IT infrastructure. Before joining the NIU, he worked for 1.5 years for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Lao PDR as communications officer for as well as for Lanexang Minerals Limited for more than four years as communication officer and translator/interpreter.
