Vacancy for Finance Officer
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) of the Government of Lao PDR has received financing from the EIF Interim Facility, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. Through the support of the EIF Interim Facility, the National Implementation Unit (NIU), MOIC is seeking to recruit a Finance Officer.
The NIU is seeking an experienced finance officer to provide the NIU (MOIC) with financial management support with respect to the implementation of the project, through administering accounting operations. The services of the Finance Officer are required for 90 person-days over 08 months period on a part-time basis, working at NIU Office. In order to qualify for this position, the candidates shall meet the following experience and competence requirements:
- At least a Bachelor Degree in accounting/ finance or business administration;
- Minimum 05 years of working experience in accounting;
- Previous experience on similar position in a donor funded project environment will be a strong advantage;
- Familiarity with National Treasury MOF payment procedures will be an advantage;
- Good typing skills, Lao and English with high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Sound Office management, administrative and communication skills;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Package. Experience in using accounting software, ACCPAC/QuickBooks, will be an advantage;
- Fluent in Lao and English (spoken and written);
- Good interpersonal skills and result orientated.
